The Hard Sell Won’t Land a Million Likes

While speaking with business owners about social media, we found they all seem to fail at the Hard Sell.

No one likes the guy at the cocktail party who only knows how to talk about themselves. They go on and on about their vast experience about a topic that was cool in the 80’s.

In social media, we do not want to be constantly bombarded about Ads and in- Store Specials, or the Buy Now button. The occasional announcement is fine, but it must be supported with your overall message.

The goal of social media is to establish relationships. It’s a fact of life; people prefer to do business with people they like.

So next time, instead of posting your store new special sale try asking a questions, thank a customer, and most importantly, just listen to what your customers are saying.

This is no easy take and requires a lot of dedication that most small business do not have time for. We aim to take the burden away from small business owners, get them back to doing what they are best at.
